Every year i feel the direction of my work keeps changing \ud83d\ude42 when i started my @future_vizion Instagram i originally and strictly was pure experimental Neon Style Cyber Street Photography, even though i was doing Astrophotography prior to that i became obsessed with street photography mostly inspired by amazing Tokyo Based Photographer @_f7\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Since then my photography has become a mix of cyber street photos, then it became street portraits, then it evolved into more stylized conceptual photography using my studio, as well as evolving my style and creative direction and intention and meaning into my work.<\/p>\n

I guess for the first year it was all about just capturing and editing, trying to experiment with different ways of color grading to achieve the look i was looking for, this journey took me about 2 years to define, where people can see my work and automatically be recognized, again it’s a difficult journey and challenge to make your work stand out in a sea of common artists all achieving the same looks, it’s not so about how many are doing it but who can truly capture all the elements of true storytelling.<\/p>\n

The composition, the lighting, the shadows, the story of the subject, the mood, and obviously the color grading.<\/p>\n

As time traverses, we become inspired by other creatives, our work shifts into a parallel reflection of other people’s insight of the world, the sum of all our creativity becomes a collective dream defragmented in windows of social media for the masses to absorb.<\/p>\n

I think for me i remember when it clicked for me, it was few years ago during one of my trips to Hong Kong island, as i was capturing people coming in and out of alleyways it clicked for me, it’s when i realized the transcendence of peaking into random strangers that most likely i won’t ever see again, but capturing in this isolated alleyways was a profound and eureka moment for me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Back in the early days of 2017 there weren’t many of what i would refer to as “cyberpunk street photographers” other than photographers like @liam Wong<\/a>, @noealzi<\/a>i, @teemu<\/a> and few more, in this early stages it was all about capturing Asian neon streets with some kind of heavy processing blue, purple color grading and call it cyberpunk, some photographers like Liam were able to be recognized as a niche style of photography, therefore, pushing the sub-genre from an experimental style of night photography into a more stable ecosystem for newcomers to try to experiment with this techniques.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Some underground artists like myself didn’t make it out into the commercial public eye, due to not enough exposure, not enough experience, and other factors, which in my personal case i don’t ever mind, staying underground helps you to define your talent slowly and be able to commit errors until you are ready to go next level.<\/p>\n
